Baby elephant scratchboards - original or print!

Choose to have a 8x8 inch or 8x10 inch original scratchboard made for you or grab a 5x5 inch print of the baby and mommy! The first two images are available in 8x8 size, the third is available as an 8x10.

All of my art is made using sharp tools, by scratching into a board covered in white clay and black ink. I scratch away the black ink to create the image in white. Wherever you see color, I have added colored india ink and re-scratched the image to add texture.

Each scratchboard takes over 15 hours to create. Each line was be scratched into the pieces, creating 6x6 inch images. The board itself is extremely lightweight (masonite) and will cradled in back to allow the piece to float off the wall and hang beautifully.
